Thanks for the suggestion about Trillian. I guess I should have been clearer
about what I am looking for. Actually, I don't care about my teenage son's IM
needs. I am much more concerned about restoring Vista to normal operating
mode. My biggest issue is that I cannot log on to the PC with standard user
accounts; the screen goes blank. I can, however, still log on with an
administrator account.
