I think you misunderstand what I mean. Both WinXP & WinVista have the
ability to treat a standard zip file like a standard folder; Windows
itself allows you to view the contents of a zip file from within the
Windows Explorer. Files within are, to the user, treated as files
within a normal folder/directory. The only way that you can even tell
that it is a zip file that you're browsing within is the icon with the
zipper instead of standard folder icon.

I'm looking for a product that adds that same capability for other
archive formats. What 7-Zip, and every other product that I'm familiar
with, does is to add a context-menu. This is handy, but nowhere near as
handy as having the Windows Explorer treat 7z (and other) archives like
they were just another directory.

Anyone know of a product that adds this capability to Windows? I would
be curious if it is available for x86, though I am specifically looking
for a Vista x64 capable addition.
