No problem, then, if you are simply getting rid of Windows in order to
replace it with an Operating system that actually works.
Best to over-write Windows and get rid of it for good.
If, before you do so, you save your data onto disk, it's very easy to
restore it in Ubuntu or any other Linux system, because they easily read
any Windows data format.
