Get unlimited internet acces(famely, friends), search google with
hoary+backports, then you find your update/software.
Download everything and you have 3 dvd's.
On ubuntu forum you can find how, search webmirror, this explains
how you can make the dvd's.
or you can try xubuntu, fluxbuntu, these work on older machine and
you can update everything. Look on distrowatch for more ubuntu's.
