iPod Touch and The Cloud
I signed up for The Cloud's 4 quid a month iPod Touch offer, and to be
honest I'm rather disappointed. The hotspots are all over the place,
but most of the ones I've tried so far don't give me an IP address -
the iPod just sits there with a 169.x.x.x address. Of the five
hotspots i've tried recently, I only got connectivity in Kings Cross
Station and a random pub in Cambridge. Most recent failure was today
at South Mimms services, where it just plain didn't work.
Anyone having similar experiences? I'm getting quite disillusioned,
and am starting to wonder if I'm better off spending my 4 quid a month
on bandwith from Vodafone.
