Upcoming Server Move - Downtime Expected

Hello mates,

To cope with the continuously increasing user traffic and server loads we are planning a complete server move.

I just ordered the server and our friends there in the datacenter are setting her up at the moment.

After some good research I finally opted for a Dual Processor Dual Core Xeon 5140 Server with 4 G RAM.

Once the server is ready we will move the entire forum there and there is a fare chance of a couple of hours of downtime. Hope the process will go on smoothly.

Our server upgrade failed. I'm fed up with the new host's support and decided to stay back. My apologies for the long down time.

Next time we will change the DNS only after a complete move. Better loose some posts than a long downtime.

We successfully transfered to the new server. Lot of things may fail, so please post any bugs you notice.

We lost the all the posts of 19/11/2007 and there is no way to recover them. My apologies for happening this but the database size huge which causes lots of problems in restoring it in the new server.

PM count is reported incorrectly in all forum pages -- happens in all skins

At first it was showing 0 out of 0 PM's. But now it's reporting correctly.
