freeware I-Pod software.
For anyone who doesn't want I-tunes and don't want to buy software might try
this program a little limited compared to the others but it's version 1. Just a simple and cheap way to manage your i-pod link musikcube: http://www.musikcube.com/page/main Ronboy |

Re: freeware I-Pod software.
sorry just got it send as an i-pod tool it's possible but should work with
any mp3 player. Possibilities much better then manually working on a player. I am trying my new I-pod now. It worked fine on a player without the possibilities of an I-pod. will continue testing. Can anyone advice me on Anapod. I use an I-pod video. It didn't start with I-tunes on my pc. I found iTunes to be user-vicious malware and removed it within an hour of installing it. I have a 60GB 5G iPod. |

Some video's play in i-tunes but not on the i-pod. error message format not supported all files were mp4 files which can be encoded in different ways. I-pod wants level 1 as far as I know. |

Now why would I want to do that? It appears to be working just fine. I don't believe in "updating" something just because the vendor wants me to. Its my gadget, not theirs. If it is broken, I will fix it. Else I leave it run as-is. I have a computer at home that hasn't been "updated" for over 8 years. It still works just fine for the applications I use. I guess I don't make a very good Apple sheep customer. I'm quite comfortable with that. |

I have a couple of 3rd party applications which convert video to the format used by iPod. They work just fine without having to muck about with that fruity software. |

You certainly love putting your own spin on other's remarks. Now here'se a question for YOU... Why would you want to "update" an iPod's firmware" If it ain't "broke", don't attempt to "fix" it. |

(*) For contributing to a very poor signal-to-noise ratio in this newsgroup. If you disagree with a technical statement, refute it with facts.
