Piel Frama iPod Touch case - quick review
A friend of mine ordered one of thse, or so he thought - he actually ordered
two. So now I have one of them. Black leather, the iPod slides into it from the top. It fits snugly, not like a case that was actually for an iPhone and has just been tweaked slightly. When in the case it leaves the dock connector and headphone socket free, but due to the leather base it's impossible to use my iTrip as it _just_ doesn't make enough contact. Bummer. The sleep button on the top is also exposed just enough for usage. I've not tried charging it through the dock or a cable yet, at least not while in the case. There's a flap that comes over the front and stays there magnetically - nice. The inside of the flap has a couple of credit card holders, which is a neat touch. The back of the case has a wee nubbin (removable) that enables it to be clipped to your belt using the also-enclosed belt loop clip. When on, you must press the top of the clip in order to remove the case, so it's not just going to fall out by itself. It's a bit like the Krussell clips, except they use the (slightly better IMHO) two side buttons that you pinch to release. I prefer those as it's _slightly_ harder for someone to snatch it off your belt. The Piel Frama one button approach is a bit too easy to 'lift', if you see what I mean.
