Keychain woes
I have never ever been entirely convinced by keychain insofar as it
rarely seems to work but how I'm asked for passwords e.g. on launching safari. No passwords work and I am using the right one but if I hit cancel (and I have to do it three times in succession) it goes away anyway. I've repaired permissions but the issue persists. Any ideas? Thanks |

Any ideas? Use Keychain Access.app's "Keychain First Aid" option to find and fix and problems in your keychain files. Cheers, Chris |

Since then, Safari will remeber my logins, passwords, but not automatically - UNLIKE Firefox which works great. I've tried sever times with Keychain first aid and several suggestions from forums, etc. Eve took it into my Local Apple store. The 'genius' tried keychain first aid, then some 'other' genius software - neither worked. They suggested a complete re-install of OS X, but I said it is ONLY Safari with a problem. Gave up, use Firefox all the time now - no problem remembering passwords and auto logging in. -- Clive Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take..... but by the moments that take our breath away. |
