Hardware malfunction or software malfunction?

hi all i just wonder about something, everytime i play any game (no mattter what game) the sound hangs up for like 1 second and them my comp simply just STOPS responding to all, im running ASUS A8N-E with 8600GTS winXP SP2 DX9c...this problem came after i inserted the 8600GTS

this looks like a driver problem or a memory one...
so if it is software u need to update drivers...
if hardware ur memory could be affected or overheated...

hmmm...i know 1 of the HD i got isnt the best (i spilled water on it lol) but its a shame if this is the issue

lmao...no...i was switching DVD rom and i was dumb enuf 2 place a glass of water at the desk...then i was going 2 take me some water and it slipped thru my hands and spilled all the water on the HD

lolz...I drink near my computer all the time...eventually I had enough to drink after my water cooling system broke down years ago...water went everywhere and killed my pc.....although at least I had enough to drink..
