Lifechat lx-3000 problem

Well, I just bought the Microsoft Lifechat lx-3000 headset and I'm having some problems...

I installed the drivers that came along with the headset, but when I plug in the headset in (USB) I can't hear anything... I've tried going to Control Panel>Sounds and audio devices>Audio tab and set the Sound playback to Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 and restarted the computer.

When it started back up the headphones were working, but loudspeakers weren't..

If you know what's the problem and know how to get both headphones and loudspeakers working, please let me know.

That means Lifechat lx-3000 is working and your PC's external speakers are not working, am I right?

If you change back the Sound playback device to your deafult one, are they working?

Speakers are working then, but lx-3000 isn't.

Then there is no problems with your system mate.

You need a utility to change the default device easily. A quick google search revealed this one. Give it a try:
