HD3870 hdmi audio problems
Hello all.I hope someone can help me with my issue.I have a Sapphire HD3870 which is capable of producing audio through the hdmi porrt but even with the included dongle vista dosen't even recognize it as a sound device.I have tried every driver I can think of.Uninstalled and installed the card several times.Other than buying a seperate sound card I have run out of ideas.Please help me.

Are you connecting the HDMI cable from the PC to HDMI input for the TV ?
Go to Control Panel -> Sound -> Playback tab and see if ATI HDMI is listed. Select it as the default playback device.

Make sure you download Realteks ATI HDMI driver from here
Its in red if you scroll down a bit, ATI HDMI Audio Device. Hopefully when you have this driver installed, and updated your graphics drivers. Its all good to go and it will be listed as a sound device in your computer. |
