What screen resolution you prefer for your monitor?

I prefer setting the resolution at 1280x768 for my 22 inch monitor. The monitor actually supports 1600x900 resolution but I find it it comfortable using it on 1280x768.

Re: What screen resolution you prefer for your monitor?

My standard laptop monitor (15.6", LED) is set at 1366x768 which is a perfect resolution for me. I can see everything perfectly that I need to on the screen, and I couldn't wish for it to be bigger or smaller. If I had a bigger monitor I would increase the resolution though, like a 22 inch monitor.

I personally prefer using 1366x768 resolution on my laptop, anything lesser than that isn't aesthetically pleasing on the laptop screen.Though whenever required in a graphics intensive games the Resolution has to be reduced in order to play games.

Re: What screen resolution you prefer for your monitor?

I always have it on the highest possible resolution, waste of pixels otherwise.

@techguru: If you don't like the high res because of everything being tiny, you can change the size of icons, default text points, etc. Also make sure you're actually using your monitor at the right distance and angle-it can make a big difference.

Re: What screen resolution you prefer for your monitor?

I currently have 1280 x 800 on my laptop. That's my max resolution, because my screen is only 15.4. Still, on all my devices, I've always used the maximum resolution.

Re: What screen resolution you prefer for your monitor?

Ye the main reason why I do not use max resolution is that the icons etc seem very tiny and uneasy. I know that would get used to that within a day or two, but I never actually tried to break the ice.

BWT is there any pros of using t the max resolution, may be 1600x900

I am using the 1366x768 resolution on the landscape orientation. It is perfect for general work.

Re: What screen resolution you prefer for your monitor?

Same here, 1366 x 768. Still, I remember on my second PC, I was using 800x600 for a long time. When I switched to 1024x768...I was just amazed. )

I use 1920*1080. It is best suite for my Imac desktop 21.5-inch, Mid 2011.
