DVD Audio Ripper 4 - won't rip in AAC format that works with iTunes/iPods

I ripped a DVD's audio in to AAC format but the files won't load into iTunes. iTunes documentation states that older formats of AAC won't load into iTunes and it must be a newer version. I can rip DVDs to MP3 and add to iTunes (and subsequently my iPod) with no problem. But if I rip it in AAC it doesn't want to add to iTunes (nothing happens, when you add the folder, no file is added from the folder). Any ideas on why this is happening or when it could be fixed in an update? I'm wondering if DVD Audio Ripper 5 has this problem? At this point though I'm not even sure if I feel like requesting the upgrade (I'm assuming it's free but I can't say for sure) and installing it.

Re: DVD Audio Ripper 4

I can't remember now. But I'm pretty sure it did. This has nothing to do with the iPod really right now but rather iTunes (which as far as I know is up to date) and the AAC file that DVD Audio Ripper 4 is creating. I'm thinking the audio codac that DVD Audio Ripper 4 is using is old and needs to be upgraded.
