Apple has an exclusive contract with Foxconn. Really, I should not need to elaborate here. If you are purchasing Apple products and do not know what Foxconn is, you are an ignorant, disrespectful fool—regrettably, I fell into that category less than a year ago. You are probably reading this article on products manufactured in part or in whole by Foxconn. I am typing this on a laptop that I suspect contains traces of Foxconn, though I have been unable to verify that by examining its contents. However, I know for sure that my laptop was not entirely manufactured by Foxconn. I refuse to service Foxconn products, and I refrain from selling Foxconn replacement hardware to my customers. This should come as no surprise to anyone who remotely cares what his money supports. Each time I pull out my iPhone, a pang of guilt and sorrow hits me: no technology is worth the many lives lost in its manufacture.
