The much awaited Firefox 3.0 is released with a bang. Mozilla expects to set a World Record for maximum downloads in a single day, with a target of 50 million downloads in 24 hours. The Firefox download page announces FF 3 as:

Have you ever tried copying files on your computer and been told that “The filename you specified is invalid or too long. Specify a different filename”?
If you have, you know that you can’t perform a backup of your files, as Windows will cancel the process at the point of the problem, leaving you wondering what was copied, and what was not. The problem is caused by Windows not allowing file paths of more that 231 characters. It’s a time consuming problem for us to fix, if indeed, we can fix it at all.

MyTechLife has been upgraded to Wordpress 2.5.1. It includes a number of bug fixes, performance enhancements, and one very important security fix. We recommend everyone update immediately, particularly if your blog has open registration. The vulnerability is not public but it will be shortly.
