iPhone by Cisco - Totally unexpected Move & a Sad Story

For the last couple of weeks all the technology forums & blogs were discussing the long awaited release of iPhone, a mobile phone product from apple. Bloggers and media created the name and the buzz. We have noticed several proposed models of iPhone too. Hundreds of domains registered with ‘iphone’ as keyword. A guy even demanded US $75000 for the-iphone.com. Apple kept it’s silence as the discussions and rumors exploded over web. The iPhone is expected to release on January with the Mac World 2007.

Then on last friday, Brian Lam of Gizmodo announced in a quick post theat the iPhone will be released on Monday. He also mentioned that it will be totally different from the Predictions. As soon as the post appeared at Gizmodo, Mac enthusiasts started blasing Mr. Lam for his post all over the blogosphere.

Now what happened on this Monday? A totally unexpected player entered the scene. Lynksys, a Cisco company announced the iPhone range of voip Products breaking the hearts of thousands of apple lovers. The thing is Cisco gained the trademark for iPhone i 1996 itself. Now when the time comes it just uses the free publicity.
