How to Access cPanel/WHM/Webmail from behind a firewall?

by Hemanth on July 9, 2007

Ok. So at last I got a solution to access my WHM ( Web Host Manager) and cPanel from my corporate PC. This damn network is highly firewalled and all the traffic is strictly monitored! But how can this prevent me from accessing and monitoring my VPS stats. A bit of googleing revealed a cool php script which is able to proxy the cPanel por for me.

The wonderful program I found is cPanelProxy. It is able to forward standard port 80 to the cpanel port 2082. You can download it from sourceforge. Alternativly you can use the cpanelproxy Autoinstaller  to install the script directly to your server if you are ready to give the cpanel login details. Try it if you are desparate to access cpanel or just upload and setup the .htaccess manually.

I have created a download mirror for the latest version if you want.

    Hi there!

Great tip! CPanel was blocked in this firewall too and CPanel proxy really helped me a lot. Keep up the good work!

    Regards,

    Pedro.
