Apple’s update stops use of unlocked phones…
There comes Apple with something that seems to be a well planned strategy. Everyone remembers the guy who was the first to unlock the iPhone and become headlines in the news. After that a lot more cracks were released. I had even noticed a few videos on how to hack the iPhone to work with other networks that AT&T?

No one can blame Apple, as it was illegal to hack the phone. Sometime ago, Apple had also said, “Many of the unauthorized iPhone unlocking programs available on the Internet … will likely result in the modified iPhone becoming permanently inoperable when a future Apple-supplied iPhone software update is installed.” But who pays any attention??
Apple released new iPhone software on Sept. 27 which fixed bugs, improved the typing process and added the online iTunes Music Store application etc. etc. This update was ‘really’ very good.
As soon as this update was released, people madly enough updated their phones and all the unlocked iPhones stopped working ;). Less serious, but equally disturbing, was the fate of those who had downloaded some of the hundreds of unauthorized programs available online to increase the usefulness of the iPhone. To say in the words of a fellow blogger, iPhone users were somewhat ‘bricked’ over their head. with this update.
