Using occam's razor I'd guesstimate the causes to be

a) the same as I said earlier

b) youtube's servers running out of steam.

By the way - youtube probably caches the first few k, in order to get
your 'experience' started quicker.

No need to invoke conspiracy theories about VM deliberately choking
anything.

I don't get any stutterin or slowdowns ever on youtube, and neither does
a lot of others on other ISP's without the name Virgin in them.

Are you implying that it's only customers of Virgin that ever get slowdown
on youtube?
Just for info...i never get any stuttering or slowdown on youtube either.

The stupid duck deserves what he gets.

As for my speed test results, I regularly post these and they are
readily authenticable.

None of the Virgin apologists has ever posted an authentic speed test
result that matches their claims. Pictures of screenshots DON'T count.
They could be anyone's.
