So it's just Virgin and Orange then....no one on any other ISP ever has any
trouble with youtube.....you're seriously trying to claim that are you?

Actually, this is a new installation on a different PC, and I haven't yet loaded
the killfile support for Netscape. Plus the killfile will be empty even when I
do load it.

Sorry to disappoint you so but you're completely wrong as usual.

This is a totally different PC actually with totally uncustomised
applications as yet. Only been using this one a week or so. I've been
putting a network together you see.

Yeah...of course he did....what a lame excuse, surely you could have thought
of a better one than that.

>> Once again YOU are caught lying....you never killfiled me,you just

Lets see shall we....in the discussion about web based speed test which i
claimed were unreliable because a busy speedtest server could give a false
result Eeyore replied
"Yes it COULD. But it DOESN'T in practice."
So i asked if he was saying that even if a speedtest server is too busy
you'll still ge an accurate result to which he replied
"I suggest you try regularly.

I've never noticed a serious fall-off in reported speed."
Notice no bum in the question and no answer in the reply.
Later in the same thread i asked
"ALways?...what about the test posted today in the Idnet thread?,thats not
97%...so..tell me where the problem is...is it Idnet,a router somewhere in
the chain to the speedtest server or is it the speedtest server itself.I'll
give you a clue...you have no idea."
Again no bum in the question and no answer either.
In the thread entitled Virgin speed update Eeyore posted this
"Illustrates very well that Virgin doesn't have enough internet
connectivity." in response to a bad speedtest result.I posted
"It could equally well indicate a busy speedtest server. How do you KNOW
that's not the case?...and i do mean KNOW not just an assumption.I look
forward to you posting your evidence that it definitely wasn't the
speedtest server that was busy.If you don't have that evidence then it's
just more hot air from you, just opinion stated as fact."
Once again no reply or bum in the question.
Do you have any other stupid comments to make...if you do i suggest you fix
the g on your keyboard first as it doesn't seem to work correctly with
words like tellin(g) and givin(g)

You and Gonz need to get your story straight....according to him
"Ah... you see, he's formatted his computer since then.
Yeh, I remember him tellin me."
So which is it...did you reformat,as Gonz said you told him, or is it a
different PC?

As i've already stated numerous times....web based speedtest are
unreliable.I prefer to test my speed by actually downloading something,
which i regularly do at my full 20 megs as the screenshots i posted earlier
in another thread show.

It's a different PC. An Athlon powered one instead of a Pentium. I'll be building
another one soon too. He has no knowledge of this one.

However since I'm running the same OS and news application, there's no way you can
tell from the headers.

SOME or even MOST web based speed test are unreliable. Or at least subject to
certain vagaries.

The Bbmax one is one of the very best however.

So let's see your result.

Actually i did.....don't you remember Gonz complaining about the time it
was done?.So once again you're wrong
As far as the screenshots could be anyones,so could your links to your
speedtest results....they don't identify you on there do they? For instance
here's one Gonz posted earlier

where on there does it prove it's his?...that could be anybodys as
well.Unlike you tho,i'm not accusing anyone of falsifying results as i
believe they're genuine, the same as my screenshots are.
