Wifi on buses, how does that work?

A few days ago I saw a coach on the M40 (London-Oxford route) that
claimed to have on-board wifi. Does anyone have any knowledge about
how that works - do they use the normal "domestic" channels or do
they have a dedicated system?
Also, if anyone's actually used this, how reliable is it.

Pete

I'd guess they have an HSDPA / 3G / GPRS / EDGE to wifi router.
