daily droped up speed

John

I have had a up speed that since last Wednesday has dropped each afternoon,
as far as I can workout, from 448set in my Belkin router to as low as 60k.
A reboot will get the speed back, some times needs two. Usually the down
speed has increased at the same time.



The BT line profile had been at 4000k for months but has changed almost
daily, to 3500, 4599 and back down to 3500.



My ISP says BT isn’t interested if the up speed is above 64k and are sending
a test router. Belkin in a long phone call ended by saying there wasn’t any
thing wrong with the router. I am at a lose as to where to go from here, it
doesn’t look likely it’s the router and if BT will not do any thing?

It's not that open reach won't visit it's the fact that your ISP
doesn't want to pay to get them out. If your speeds are doing what
you say you have got a repetative Lower Threshhold Breach & the
biggest problem with those is finding what is causing it.

Have you change anything electrically in your house?

I'm asking as the last one I have come across was being caused by the
'step down transformer' in a halogen desk lamp which had been
positioned close to the router, moved it away & problem dissapeared.

This may be the season to be jolly but with the number of flashing
christmas tree lights, rope lights & whatever I wouldn't be suprised
if more people start to experience what you are getting & then it all
magically dissapears when the month of doom, gloom & overdrafts comes
upon us.

It's not that open reach won't visit it's the fact that your ISP
doesn't want to pay to get them out. If your speeds are doing what
you say you have got a repetative Lower Threshhold Breach & the
biggest problem with those is finding what is causing it.

Only chaqnge has been replacment lazer printer that is off except whern
needed. We had a speed drop one daywe were out as well.
