Amid deposing experts, SCO and Novell agree on a schedule.
Today is the last day for expert depositions in the SCO v. Novell
case, per an order back in April (#269). This deposition deadline is also the last deadline that has been set for anything before the September 17 trial date. The original case schedule (#85) had included dates for several events between expert depositions and the trial, but since that schedule was vacated in October (order #162), the court has not set new deadlines for any of those events. I was starting to think that the parties and the court were no longer actually figuring on trying to stick to the September 17 trial date, but this morning SCO and Novell have filed a stipulation (#367) to establish the following schedule: Original: New: 2007-04-27 2007-08-02 Plaintiff Pretrial Disclosures 2007-05-11 2007-08-02 Defendant Pretrial Disclosures 2007-08-09 Final Pretrial Order 2007-08-16 Proposed Jury Instructions 2005-05-25 2007-08-21 Special Attorney and Settlement Conferences 2007-08-22 Motions in limine 2007-08-29 Oppositions to motions in limine 2007-09-11 Daubert hearing 2007-06-06 2007-09-11 Final Pretrial Conference 2007-06-25 2007-09-17 Jury Trial Comparing this to the original schedule, you can see it's a bit tighter in parts and looser in others. I suppose there's some chance that it will actually stick. -al |
