NB strider I wonder if the machine is being re-infected due to a modified hosts file !!
Chances are there.. If my PC is in this kind of a situation with no tools able to detect a flashy red button in the taskbar, I'll opt for a reinstall without any doubt.

Re: Red dot in taskbar ''your activity is recorded''

Yes you should remove the other two processes and there is also a high chance that your System restore files also has got affected.

Apart from the tools you have run, download Spybot S&D and AdwareSE, install them, update the definition files. (If you already have them installed, then just ignore this). Now disable System restore, reboot in SAFE MODE and run a full scan using Spybot S&D and Adware SE. Fix any issues found.

Then reboot in normal mode and run some online scans :

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Online Trojan Scan : http://www.windowsecurity.com/trojanscan/

btw .. does the red dot appear in Safe Mode also ?

Also here are some Rootkit Finders and revelers : http://www.rootkitfinder.com/rootkit_revealer.htm

Re: Red dot in taskbar ''your activity is recorded''

strange! I never encounter like this before!.. but i think some one install a keylogger or monitoring software to your system... if you dont know how to uninstall it, try to use SYSTEM RESTORE to reset the system on an earlier time.. or try to download AUTORUNS by sysinternals in this site:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb963902.aspx

this software will help you alot...

if you like try to browse your registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENT VERSION/RUN

&

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENT VERSION/RUN

actually you can delete all entry there!
