different way to do it???
Wife quit working about 3months ago. She regularly used a company issued laptop to work at the office and at home. (Toshiba Satellite M30). Well, she was such a SUPERIOR worker
, that the company let her (so she says....) KEEP the laptop...so yesterday, she decides to open the laptop and logon but cant remember the login password....(imagine that, a woman not remembering something??? She's griping and moanin about the whole deal and doesnt want to call the company for fear that they may have a change of heart about keeping the laptop. What can we do here? She wants to use the thing as a PERSONAL laptop...but how can we get past or eliminate the corporate function of logging in and typing in a password? This is all legit gents, no BS. Its an old laptop and she is not trying to hack into NASA and steal secrets... just want to be able to use the laptop w/o typing in a stupid password. is there a way to get past this? Help please! She won't stop *****IN and MOANIN until I find a solution for her.....!!!! ![]() ![]() |

Re: different way to do it???
Well, you should be able to reset the local admin user password using Offline NT Password & Registry Editor. Here is the home page of the tool.
Now if you have the Windows XP CD this method should also work. |
