hackers wanted, password problem

Debian Etch Gnome

Dear hackers what can I do?
Since a while after my computer goes to
screen save mode my password is not accepted
anymore.
If I then select “change user” and login again with
the same name and password, it is accepted.
This is very annoying and I like to have this fixed
can it be a virus or what?

It's almost certainly not a virus. It sounds like your screensaver
program has become confused. At that point, I would
CTRL-ALT-Backspace to restart X. Hope your open files were saved
before you left them.

Thank you for this suggestion is there anything
I can do to solve this? It is not very handy to loose
my open files each time the screensaver kicks in.

Well, I for one would simply disable the password on my screensaver. Unless
your computer is somewhere where anyone can get at it, and you tend to
leave yourself logged on while away from the desk, you do not need a
screensaver password. It is not clear that you need a screensaver, but that
is up to you.
