hackers wanted, password problem
Debian Etch Gnome
Dear hackers what can I do? Since a while after my computer goes to screen save mode my password is not accepted anymore. If I then select “change user” and login again with the same name and password, it is accepted. This is very annoying and I like to have this fixed can it be a virus or what? Edmund |

At that point, I would CTRL-ALT-Backspace to restart X. Hope your open files were saved before you left them. -- Any technology distinguishable from magic is insufficiently advanced. It is not very handy to loose my open files each time the screensaver kicks in. Edmund |

Unless your computer is somewhere where anyone can get at it, and you tend to leave yourself logged on while away from the desk, you do not need a screensaver password. It is not clear that you need a screensaver, but that is up to you. >Edmund |
