Re: Please help..getting BSOD error message 0x000000C5: DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL
It can be due to a faulty RAM. Could you please download Memtest86 ISO Image, burn a CD, run the test and post back the results.
http://www.memtest86.com/ http://www.memtest86.com/memtest86-3.4a.iso.zip Btw. Which OS you're using ( Windows XP or Vista)? |

Can you boot into safe mode ? Did you recently install any drivers or updated any drivers ?

I am not being given the option to boot into safe mode anymore. It skips right past the black screen.

press F8 repeated times while booting and the choice should come. And did you checked the memory using memtest ? and before getting the BSOD, did you install any new hardware/drivers ?

Re: Please help..getting BSOD error message 0x000000C5: DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL
I did put in Office then uninstalled after getting a lot of problems. I did not run memtest yet not sure exactly what to download of the site...is it the disc that gets mailed to you or is their a download on the site because I did not see which download I was supposed to use. I downloaded the Download - Pre-Compiled Memtest86 v3.4a installable from Windows and DOS and unzipped it but I have no idea how to run the program.
thanks for the help Last edited by LB240; 30-10-2008 at 05:06 AM.. |

First of all try to get into the safe mode by keep tapping the F8 key while you're booting in.
Refer to this article for more info: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222 You should get a screen like this: ![]() Quote:
http://www.memtest86.com/memtest86-3.4a.iso.zip Unzip it and you'll get an ISO file. Burn it to a CD and boot in using that CD. It will perform a series of tests which a take some time. |

Re: Please help..getting BSOD error message 0x000000C5: DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL
insert the CD, reboot, see if the system boots from the CD, otherwise enter BIOS, boot device priority and set CD-ROM with highest priority, save bios settings and reboot.
