Whew, this thread has really been hijacked ... but I think not.

The employee had made a bad decision resulting in his suffering the decision his employer then *did* make ... or maybe, ah yes:

The employee *did* make a bad decision without considering the decision his employer then *had* to make for the alleged good of all.

But to get back to USBs ...

This evening I got iTunes installed and my library of oldies set up, then connected my NTFS iPod 4th-Gen Nano and rebooted so the drivers could finish installing ... and my BIOS put up a message I have never before seen about selecting from a list of boot devices with my iPod in it. Everything soon locked up altogether since I could not read and react within the allotted number of seconds, then I went into my BIOS and set USB to KB/MS only and all was well.

Question: Why did my BIOS think my USB-connected iPod was a boot device? It does have some kind of software that can trigger iTunes, but should it have tripped my BIOS?

Re: can not view files in usb

The files may be infected by virus. But there is a chance to get you data back with these steps

-> Goto cmd in start menu.
-> Type location of the flash drive.
-> Type dir /ah.
-> Type attrib [name of file/folder] -r -a -s -h.
-> Check the flash drive.
