Computer won't turn on

well here is the whole story
my computerwas working well until i tried to install the lastest photoshop
then my computer froze
after that i turn it off by holding the power button and did a sytem recovery that i do every month it it was ok until next time i turned it off and it starts to freeze again and now when i press the power button all i get is a blank screen.
but after a few attempts to turn it on i recoverd my data and did a system restore back to the setting it was when i go it and when i was playing a game the computer screen went blank.

and now everytime i tried turning on my computer the computes creen light is still on but no picture which means i get only a blank screen
any suggests on wut should i do?
do u think its a virus or my computer is just old?
please help

check your video card. is fan spinning?

yes the fan is spinning
sometimes after a few atemps it will turn of with a BSOD
so wut its it really motherboard or virus?
help out please

sounds like a ram problem. possibly mobo, but most likely ram.

buy/borrow some ram, run it for a day. if problem appears again, then there's a motherboard problem.
-
note: when passing the 512MB ram barrier, its best that all your RAM are identical. i know some are compatible, but in the end, identical removes several unexplainable problems.

go ahead.

if your board is dual channel, you have to test 2 ramslots at a time.

I know this is old but I found out the problem last year but forgot to tell you guys it was a registry error which is normally cause the BSOD and with a up to date malwarebytes it helped solved that problem and now it has stopped!
