Cant start thread: Computer Boots, No (or delayed) display, freezes

Im unable to start a thread.

My computer is booting up just fine half the time, and the other half I have no display. When this happens, sometimes the fans freak out a little bit (one tenth the time), I have lights on my dvd tray but cannot eject it.

Sometimes if I leave my computer alone, after 5-30 minutes I will finally get a display. This is one of those times. Others times, a display still never shows up.

The computer will also freeze sometimes, usually after I have these troubles booting it up and usually within a few minutes of booting. A rule of thumb has been that if it stays on for 10+ minutes, it will be fine.

Re: Cant start thread: Computer Boots, No (or delayed) display, freezes

most likely it's a faulty motherboard / power supply

Re: Cant start thread: Computer Boots, No (or delayed) display, freezes

Bad power supply, Try another one from another PC in your PC, and see if it works, If it does, buy a new power supply with the appropriate plugs and wattage. If not, Then your motherboard is fried.

Re: Cant start thread: Computer Boots, No (or delayed) display, freezes

Hi,

System freezes are common if hardware devices such as keyboard and mouse are not supported by the operating system. Somehow, if you intend to run heavier applications that take up a lot of memory space, the chances of conflicts between the operating system and such applications increases. Such conflicts eventually slow down the system and cause frequent system freeze. Well, to fix this issue you need to check out the compatible version of the application and then install it on your system.

Re: Cant start thread: Computer Boots, No (or delayed) display, freezes

@hab, i think kirstain's a spammer with a lot of canned posts.
-
as you can see here
-
http://www.techtalkz.com/hardware-tr...ml#post2092208
-
vs here

http://www.techtalkz.com/windows-7/5...ml#post2091814
-
his/her/its grammar is impeccable in all his posts, except for his first post, which is unusually broken english for someone allegedly from the US.
-
also, despite the good grammar posts, it's usually barely related to the subject except for a few keywords
-
i'm more wondering if it's a bot or a person. and to what end? is it just that link on his signature?
-
go through the evidence, make your own conclusions!
