Networking help...

Help.. So I have a very nice computer that I like very much. Its a very strong computer and it does its job well. You can find it here .

I play very graphic intensive games (Planetside 2, CS:GO, Roblox, Euro Truck Simulator Online, etc). In which I hardwire in with the ethernet port on the computer.

After a 2-6hr gaming session I try and run the computer (connecting to the same box) via the wireless settings and my Operating System (Windows 10) ether shows just the one I'm connected too or nothing at all and disconnects.

I have developed two solutions to this, one being to restart the computer and the other (assuming it shows up) going into the drivers, disabling the driver that crashed (Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260) and then re-enabling it after a few tries I can get connected and keep connected via wireless.

What solutions would I have to stop this from happening? Would a USB to ethernet work better when I game so it travels over the USB instead of the intergrated network port? I hate having to do this because when I need the computer to work in an instant it fails me and I am forced to do some weird things or just flat out keep the network wired.

Re: Networking help...

Questions:

1. Do you physically disconnect the Ethernet cable before attempting to connect via Wireless?

2. Did you try installing the latest version of your Network/Wireless drivers?

Re: Networking help...

I did when it was off and upon start up it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting to wifi sometimes not doing anything till I reset the driver/machine. And yes I have all the updated drivers.

It seems there are lots of users with WiFi problems in Lenovo Edge 15. Try the following (it worked for some users).

1. Update the BIOS : BIOS Update for Windows 7 (64-bit), Windows 8.1 (64-bit), Windows 10 (64-bit) - Lenovo Flex 2 Pro-15, Lenovo Edge 15 - Lenovo Support (GB)

2. Update your WLAN driver: Intel WLAN Driver for Windows 7 64-bit - Lenovo Flex 2 Pro-15, Lenovo Edge 15 - Lenovo Support (GB)

Also, I'd recommend updating all the drivers from the below page (enter your computer's serial number for accurate results).
Laptops-and-netbooks :: Lenovo-Edge-Series-Laptops :: Edge-15-Laptop-Lenovo - Lenovo Support (GB)
