Blog for university

Hi guys.. Is it possible to make a blog for a university where users from different departments can write posts by logging in ?? I am not much aware about this.. Plz give me some ideas. How can this be implemented .

Find a host, and install WordPress. Or there are many other ones too.

If you want to setup in a Windows only environment MS Share point can be used.

You mean to say... that the blog should be visible only to the university or to anyone else.. ( a public blog)

If you don't want this.. and want a public blog.. from my point of view.. it would be quite a normal blog... Just install a blog software on a server... (I prefer WordPress)... you can create different users there. Every user will have his own username and pass... And everyone can blog..
Posts will be displayed with the name of the respective Author.. or whatever you wish..
