Re: Movies - What ya watching?

Finally i can post in this thread (freakin' school FW blocked it for some reason and hotspot/expat shield doesn't work anymore)

...anyways...

The Sherlock Holmes movies are ok, as movies, but really bad as Sherlock Holmes. Watch the BBC TV show, it's a really clever modern interpretation and actually very accurate to the original stories

Re: Movies - What ya watching?

Well if you had read any of the original stories (note they were originally short stories, not a novel), then you would be screaming at the screen every thirty seconds watching the movies

Re: Movies - What ya watching?

I watched Ghostrider : Spirit of Vengeance yesterday. The quality of Cage's work is going down with each movie.

Planning to watch Men In Black 3 over the weekend.

Re: Movies - What ya watching?

Sherlock Holmes stories were originally in a newspaper weren't they? The Strand or something. They're quite good stories, and the language is hilarious. Holmes "Ejaculates" no less than 3 times in one of the three grouped books I have.

Re: Movies - What ya watching?

Watched Prometheus yesterday. I'm disappointed; expected more from Ridley Scott. The story is weak with plenty of plot-holes, mediocre acting and no real closure at the end. I'll give it a try again once the extended version is out in Bluray (almost 30 minutes extra footage).

I've seen Prometheus too. Worst heap of expletive I've seen in months.

That said, the extended one might be better.
