AMD posted revenues of $1.51bn for its first quarter, compared to $1.23bn a year ago and $1.77bn for the fourth quarter of 2007.
The poor results came as no shock to industry analysts, who were warned last week that AMD would miss earnings expectations by about $100m.
AMD chief executive Hector Ruiz said that the chip firm is addressing its loss making situation with additional restructuring.

Wow, AMD is going down, I feel bad. AMD is my favorite CPU and computer chip manufacturer. I hope they don't go out of business.

Why?? Its because AMD is a poor performer since that Core 2 Duos and Quads have been released!

But I hope they can reserve a AMD 6400+ for me when they do go out of business!

AMD financial loses are huge now compared to Intel......

As Intel markets up, AMD market goes down!
