Rep Power: 0 ![]() OS: | DIP w/ flat contact pads on top for neuron project Hello, I'm a biologist by trade, but now I'm trying to design a chip that will measure the electrical response of neurons and I need some help with aquisiton of the signal. Basically, I want a 16-pin dip that has a flat top with 16 contact pads on it, so that I can flip it over and solder the pads to corresponding pads on my chip. Then I'll use a ribbon-cable connector (Digi-Key - CDP16G-ND (CW Industries - CWR-130-16-0000)) to get it to the device that actually measures and displays the neruon's response. I've been looking for something like this, but have had no luck and am not actually sure it exists (although a coworker insists that it does). If it doesn't exist, do you have any other suggestions for getting my chip's bonding pads connected to a cable? My biggest restriction is size--it can't be longer than 23mm, or wider than around 12 (the thinner the better). Height is not a huge concern. Thank you! Kate |
