Physically howto change memory simms on HP-laptop?
I did this on MY (Compaq) laptop, but now I can't on a friend's HP-laptop:
I get the cover-plate off bottom of laptop, exposing the two SODIMM slots. (In this laptop, both slots are full, of 512-MB cards each.) So, the PLAN is to order two new SODIMM, of 1-GB each, for total of 2-GB. But, the part I can NOT figure out on this machine, is I don't remember what the 'magic' is to get the top-most memory-card to 'stand-up' at an angle, so I can extract the existing card(s). [On MY Compaq, as I recall, all I did was push-down (or something obvious), and it then stood up at 45-degree angle, so I could remove it.] On this HP, it looks quite a bit the same, but I don't understand if there's metal tabs to slide, or just exactly WHAT I'm looking for, to do? Ideas? ![]() TIA...
