Re: help in my new pc

Lolz which P965 board i don't think so it is supporting Quad without flashing BIOS>. Well P965 is sure a gr8 choice make sure you get DFI P965 Dask edition A***#@^%$ board gr8 1 and you wont regret spending on it

Seems your budget is good try this 1..

Intel Core 2 Duo E 6420 [ 2.13 ghz $ Mb cache]
DFI P965 Dark
EVGA 88000 GTS 320 MB
2*1 Gb DDR 2 800 MHZ GSKill HZ or Cellshock . Make sure you get Elpida or Micron D9 did not get any thing less[www.memory-configurator.com]
250 Gb SATA 2 HDD for Segate
Cooler Master Praetorian 730 or 732 Did not buy any Antec case for now if you can get your self CM Stacker 8XX
Logitech MX 3200 [Keyboard + Mouse]

About LCD how much big ? Btw if go for 17 then gor for Samsung 740 N [8ms response] 19" Viewsonic Va1912W 5Ms responce]

The rig you posted is pretty unpredictables as u haven't mentioned any Manufacturer .. Note: did not buy higher ver mean OC ver of 8800 they sucks and cost more 8800 on stock itself is too hot

Regards

Re: Help in my new pc - Need hardware configuration

Dude Lcd settle for Viewsonic 19 :Wide will cost u 12k here and will give u rt of 5ms.
E6600 waste of money for students settle for E4400 gr8 ocer or E6320.
Instead of opting for Gigabyte board try to get DFI expert series They rock
I get shocked u wrote Corsair and u live out of India Heh order Gskill

Re: Help in my new pc - Need hardware configuration

Now, try getting a P35 based board. Supports upcoming 45nm chips too.

Preferably Asus P5K Deluxe.
E6600 is still a great choice of processor. It still is great bang for buck.

Try getting an 8800GTX. You wont regret it.

Please get atleast 2GB of RAM. 1GB is not enough.
I have 4GB infact :P.

Re: Help in my new pc - Need hardware configuration

and tell me wht's wrong with nForce 650i SLI chipset
Quote:
check this:
So, the Nvidia nForce 650i SLI chipset seems to be able to become a foundation of a full-featured system if you don’t care that it doesn’t support SLI according to the PCI Express x16 + x16 design. And it can surely be viewed as a strong opponent to the Intel P965.
