Buying a Desktop and Laptop..suggestion needed

Hi Guys,

I am planning to buy new Desktop PC for my home(in India) and a Laptop for myself.I am going back to India in 2 weeks.

Can you guys suggest a good Desktop configuration within 30K(Rupees)?

Some of my frenz are telling me to buy Motherboard from US itself..i am confused ..

I am planning for a Laptop also.Please suggest one good laptop within 1000$.

so please lemme know your suggestions..

Desktop: YOu got a lots of choices. For Rs 30 K you can get a neat system.

Intel Core 2 Duo ~3 GHz
Intel Mobo
2GB RAM
160 GB HDD

For a laptop I would suggest HP DV6000 series.

Hmmm.. How can I give you a complete list if you don't know about your requirements? Just give the four main requirements to the shop ( CPU, Motherboard, RAM & HDD) and ask for a quote. Post the config here and we can suggest changes for it.

Is that ok?

any P35 based Motherboard
2 Gigs for low use on Windows Vista

4 gigs for gaming and crunching ... low latency get from newegg or memory c
320 X 2 Sata 2 Segate 7200.11 will be out soon else .10 will do fine
Sony Sata DVD RW
Cabinate any on budget
8800 GTS 320 Mb Any brand
Corsair HX 620 PSU
22" TFT Viewsonic or Dell[preferred]
Combo Input device any MS or Logi.
Speakers MX5021 on high budget else ATP3

thats y i asked you guys..

I am looking for core 2 duo/quad processor,2GB RAM,dvd r/w,160GB HDD and LCD display

I cudnt get quote from shop now..bcoz,I m in US and shop is there in India
