Netscape has defined a number of versions of JavaScript.

JavaScript 1.0 original version
It was Implemented by Netscape 2

JavaScript 1.1 nxt version
It was Implemented by Netscape 3
Introduced a true Array object

JavaScript 1.2 nxt version
It was Implemented by Netscape 4
Introduced the switch statement, regular expressions, and a number of other features.

JavaScript 1.3 nxt version
It was Implemented by Netscape 4.5

JavaScript 1.4 nxt version
It was Only implemented in Netscape server products

JavaScript 1.5 nxt version
It was Implemented by Mozilla and Netscape 6
Introduced exception handling
