yes going back to original firmware can be difficult ..... but its not necessary that every time you flash with a new monster pack , your firmware gets updated ...
For eg i changed my E398 default firmware : R372 45FR to R373 48FR ..... and since then i've installed more than 12 different MPs with different unlocked features on the same R373 .....
But that doesn't mean there isn't a way of going back to R372 , though as you said , its a bit complicated to go back than front

These instructions were great, but I have one more obstacle. On my V3m, Multimedia Studio now displays in MPT (yay!), but File Transfer Studio will not display any of the files on my phone . Neither of the file transfer buttons are enabled (PC-to-Phone or Phone-to-PC). Any action I try on the Phone side gives me a "processed failed" message.

With the seem editor in addition to enabling Multimedia Studio, I Transflash Copy/Move Option and I unlocked File Access in QPST. I thought maybe one of those would enable file transfer, but no luck.

So close and yet so far! Any suggestions?

Never mind, I got it! I hadn't enabled Bluetooth or USB file transfer.

Yay! It works! I was ready to cancel my Verizon account over this.

I'm glad it worked for you, I also have Verizon, and was really mad when I got my e815. I researched my phones really carefully and it had a lot of options that I soon discovered where not working.

Verizon's advertising for the Motorola Razor is totally misleading. I feel totally ripped off by them.

I thought I was getting all these cool new features but:

- As is, you can't get any of your photos or videos off the damn phone. The purchase of MPT and a USB cable (an ADDITIONAL $30 and $20 from Motorola!) didn't help UNTIL I did the seem edit per this post.

- I THOUGHT I was just getting a new phone with the same plan, but where previously I could access the Internet on a cost-per-minute basis (so I could email photos from the phone to myself), I discovered after my new phone purchase I couldn't access the Internet without buying a service upgrade for an ADDITIONAL monthly fee. So I ended up with a DOWN-GRADE in service with no down-grade in monthly cost to me.

- I thought I was buying a phone that would play music, BUT when I finally figured out how to get music onto it (by reading this post) I discovered that the phone can only hold FOUR songs. WTF?! Then I find out that for ANOTHER $100 I can buy a 1G TransFlash Card for the phone (which is a lot less memory than my iPod.

- Even if I wanted to listen to the 4 songs on my phone, the headphone adapter IS TOO SMALL FOR A STANDARD HEADPHONE JACK! Cost of headphones that work with it? $20 from Motorola!

Additional hardware cost: $170 on top of the "discounted" price I paid for the phone. Think Verizon is making a profit on the peripheral sales?

it is unfortunate that you had to lay out so much money I can relate.
Hopefully you found a USB cable a little cheaper, as I mentioned in my post, you can get one from ebay for about $5.00 including shipping.

Your instructions were very helpful. It was much easier than Mark's.. BUT, I am NOT able to do all of it.... at the end, I save to phone...power off but nothing happens to the phone. I searched all the sites you reccommened, but no help found. I have the Verizon Krzr. You don't have finishing instructions.

As for ringtones, you don't have to seem erit P2Commader works for the KRZR. My goal is to get the missed call notifier turned off!!!!!

One of the things that I mentioned in this guide, was the fact that not all fixes work for all phone for all providers.
I also have Verizon, and there are a number of seem edits that I have not been able to get working on my RZR, but worked just fine on my e815. The problem is not only related to the fixes, but the firmware you have installed on your phone.
It may be that this particular edit may not work on a "Verizon" KRZR, although other people may have been able to get this to work on their own KRZR with a different provider, it has everything to do with the cell phone provider.
I am able to transfer my ringtones from MPT just fine, and it works well for me.
It is extremely confusing material, and it took a lot of trial and error, and I came close to hosing my phone more than once......
But if you have successfully managed to get the other fixes working with your seem edit, then you are doing it correctly.
If none of the seem edits are working for you, then you are doing something wrong, and I am happy to help if I can.
If none or few of these fixes are working, then please be more specific about how far you have gotten, and where you are getting stuck.

Ok, NONE of the seem edits work for me. I am able to follow ALL the instructions you give, but at the end when it is time to save to the phone, NOTHING happens.

You are most likely missing a step somewhere.
Firstly, what phone is it ?
Are you seeing a "connected" message at the bottom left of P2KSeem.

The first Seem edit is one of the most important, see below.
Offset 6A (or 006a) and Bit 0
[This will enable Bluetooth Or USB file transfer in MPT (Motorola Phone Tools)plus E815 OBEX- check this to enable]

Also, make sure that you are loading correct Seem In box #2
"Seem" 2742 FOR MOTOROLA E815/V3C/V3M or 041a FOR MOTOROLA - V710.

Otherwise, please be more specific, is there any discrepancies between the images and information i have written, and the way you are currently working on it.

Most people can get most of these edits to work, so my guess is that you may have skipped a step somewhere, this guide is very information heavy, so I would just double check and take your time with it. Please give detailed info where possible, and let me know if there is a specific edit you are trying to accomplish.
