Quote:
No, what you need to do is first go to folder options (Control Panel > Folder Options) and select the "View" tab. Check off "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)" Now go to C:\WINDOWS (or wherever you have installed windows to)\System32\dll cache\ Make a new folder called "sysdm" and find the sysdm.cpl file in the "dll cache" folder and CUT it into the folder you just created. Now COPY AND PASTE your custom sysdm.cpl into the "dll cache" folder. Windows will ask you to insert your Windows install disc in a few seconds after copying the file. Simply hit "Cancel" and then another promp will come up asking if you want to keep the unrecognised files. Select yes (or whatever that button is called, i dont remember) and youre good to go after you have copied your custom sysdm.cpl into the system32 folder. Re: TUTORIAL: Hacking System Properties Dialog Box (sysdm.cpl) in Windows XP
^^ U can choose any of 2 options. Either replace the attached sysdm.cpl file or manually edit ur existing file.
The easiest method would be to replace ur sysdm.cpl file with my attached one. |
