CMOS checksum error

hi frnds recently I got the problem CMOS checksum error:defaults loaded
it happened when I changed my CMOS battery .I also tried to change the cmos settings but nothing worked.It dosen't save changes and gives same error.Tell me how to solve?

Well ..CMOS checksum error occurs when its battery is drained .... replace with a new battery and everything should be back to normal ...

Do the time reset also to someting say 1st January 2000 ?

So this is a new CMOS battery ? Did you replace it with a very cheap battery ?

so you change your setings, press F10 (in most cases to save changes and exit), and then when the machine reboots you again get the same error ?

Also are you trying to overclock from BIOS ?
