i got a Phoenix BIOS and ive been getting this beep code: 1 long 2 short

im not entirely sure but is this CPU or video card?

the reason i think its CPU is cuz its been acting crazy lately

ok so ive tried 2 different video card and no good...its the CPU this time

Talk to one of the computer manufacturer technicians and tell them that you are getting 1 long beep and 2 short ones. Tell them also exactly when also. If the CPU isn't the one that came with the computer, call up support for the CPU manufacturer and tell them the stuff and whenever you get it. All CPUs get certain beep codes when there is an error, and if the CPU came with a manual, look in the troubleshooting section and it will say what different beep codes it has. GL

lol i dont have a manufacturer...built it myself and i know its the CPU since i forgot cooling paste

I know its the CPU because it fails on memtest86's CPU test


AND its not listed under phionix beep codes and i have a phinix BIOS

EDIT: Fails on memtest CPU test (just shut down, no error message), frezes in games

no beep codes...? You should contact phinix about that. They should definately have a beep code list, but w.e, at least you know what's wrong
