Hi just wanted to tell that i gave the hard disk for repair and its been repaired but its formatted anyway i have started using the hdd without much problem until sometimes its not detected after xp loads up and then if i restart it its being detected again.Do u think its a serious problem?

You can try swapping the slots in the motherboard. Also is the hard disk always detected in BIOS ?

Reformat the hard drive you should see it again.
