SATA HDD not detected

Hi guys.I had 1 sata hdd 80gb and bought a new sata 512gb hdd 6 months ago and installed it and it worked fine, unfortunately yesterday in the evening when i checked it out the new hdd was not getting detected. I tried opening the cabinet and on checking i found that the power cable is broken i connected the one from the smps(i had 2 sata power cables from the smps which are connected from the same point) i powered on and checked but there was no change the hdd was not detected even in the bios. So i swapped the place where the hdd cable is connected to the motherboard with the older hdd but still no change. I felt the hdd is screwed but this error about a scsi and raid controller comes up. As shown in the links the scsi and raid controller errors have come up

It says that driver is missing i dont understand what is wrong. Please help me i there is a lot of data in that drive and i cant afford to lose the data.

Re: SATA HDD not detected

is the hard disk detected in BIOS ? Also if you have another working system, attach the hard disk in that system and see if it's detected.

it can be that either the hard disk is damaged due to sudden power cut or it's still a mystery how the power cable got cut ... check the power cable and see if it actually got burnt -- due to short circuit or other issues.

if you do not attach the hard disk do you still get the raid/scsi error in device manager ?

Re: SATA HDD not detected

Well i removed the hdd but the error persists , anyway i forgot to mention one point when the new hdd was not being detected and when i turned on the power the light in the front of the cabinet was not blinking it was just red and stable. I removed the new hdd now and its back to normal functioning blinking when some data is read or when i open any folder etc. I checked the cable it was broken not burnt, what are the odds that the hdd can be repaired without loss of data or that it can still be repaired with data loss? As i think that could be the case. Anyway please reply i will check again in some time.
Update:
Hey the hdd is not dead i removed it outside and connected the power cable and have it in my hand now and its vibrating i can feel it what do you think?

Re: SATA HDD not detected

In device manager from your 1st screenshot :

Did you click Enable Device button ??

Also is the hard disk actually working (read/write operation) in another system (not merely disk spinning) ?

Re: SATA HDD not detected

it depends on what has been damaged. If the controller circuit that controls read/write operations etc got burnt, then most probably you can recover most of your data. If the disk is within warranty, send it to manufacturer and they should be able to recover your data.
