No signs of life, even after ps and mobo replaced
I get nothing. No lights, no beeps, no fans, not even a wimper. I replaced the power supply, but no change. A guy told me that a logic circuit on the motherboard may not be regulating the voltage from the power supply properly, so I installed an identical motherboard. Still nothing. Please don't ask if I have power from the wall. I wouldn't have ordered a mobo from Hong Kong without doing the obvious stuff first.

it may well be that this motherboard or the new power supply is damaged also. Plug in your psy into another working system and see if that power ups and test your motherboard similarly and check if it works too.

Re: No signs of life, even after ps and mobo replaced
I suppose I could be among those extraordinarily unlucky few who bought a power supply out of the box broken right after I had a ps failure, and/or I bought a motherboard out of the box broken right after I had a mobo failure, but I think the more likely answer is that my problem is neither power supply nor motherboard related. I just don't know what else it could be.

If your assembling is correct then it's got to be wither the psu or the motherboard or both.

Could be a bad power switch wire...
