Graphics Card or...? (Need Help)
My monitor packed in a couple of days ago when I was in the kitchen. However after testing it on another computer it appears to still be working. Which makes me conclude that it is an issue with the graphics card. After booting it up and holding F8 it turned to a series of white, verticle rectangles with black lines seperating each. The graphics card is a Matrox Parhelia 128mb and am considering buying a new one as it is very old. However I was hoping for a second opinion and will give any information needed.
Thanks in advance and I would be be grateful for as quick of a reply as possible. |

Re: Graphics Card or...? (Need Help)
Sorry about the delay. It can be the problem with the graphics card.
Do you have an onboard video out from your motherbaord other than the graphics card? If yes, connect the monitor to that video out port and test it before rushing in to buy a new video card. |
