Unhappy RAM card defects in 3-4 weeks, PC freezes

Hi. I'm having trouble with my RAM card(s).

So, 2 months ago, I bought a new motherboard, power supply, CPU, GPU and a stick of 4 gig RAM DDR3.

Everything was fine for 3-4 weeks and then my computer froze, blue screen appeared and said "Kernel data inpage error".

My computer then restarted and went straight to BIOS. It went to bios every time i restarted my PC.

If I wanted to go to windows, I had to turn my PC off for 20-30 minutes and then it would normally go to windows.

The PC then would run fine for 15 minutes and would then freeze and give another blue screen and the process repeats.

So, I replaced my RAM (trial and error), and my PC was fine.... For the next 4 weeks.

My RAM again broke after a month of usage.
(Also, I'm typing this thread in a hurry before my PC freezes again)

CPU: AMD FX 6300 6-core, 3.5 GHz processor
GPU: NVidia GTX 260
4 GB DDR3 RAM (1 stick)
Power supply: CX 430, ATX power supply 430 WATT
Motherboard: Asrock 970 Pro3 R2.0

Does anyone know what is causing my RAM to break down?

What RAM are you using? Are you sure it's compatible with the motherboard? Are you running everything at stock speeds?

Just noticed I didn't type DDR3 in OP.

Anyways, the first RAM that I "ruined" was a single stick of 4GB, DDR3-1600, King max.
The second set of RAM that I'm currently using is two sticks of 2GB, DDR3-1333, King max

Also, in my BIOS, RAM voltage was set to auto.

Do you think temperature is what ruined my RAM? Because, my RAM usually falters after 20 minutes of stress (usually gaming).
Also, I don't have a RAM heatsink and I don't have a fan blowing directly on my RAM (just the regular chasis fan blowing on my G-card and hard drive.)

The reason I think temperature is what killed my RAM is because I have to wait 20-30 minutes before I can re-enter my windows after it crashed, so I presume I'm just waiting for them to cool down.

If everything is running at stock it should not be overheating (especially not so quickly); RAM heatsinks should only be necessary when overclocking. Then again I have never heard of Kingmax before, so no idea how reliable they are. What is your cooling setup? How are you cooling your CPU? how many case fans do you have and where?

During gaming I always reduced my cpu fan to 50%.

I have a single chasis fan located at front-bottom of the case (where power button and usb ports are).
And that fan doesnt even have an exit hole.

Also, that chasis fan is pretty far from RAM and CPU, but very close to hard drive.

Re: RAM card defects in 3-4 weeks, PC freezes

Ok when you're gaming most of the major components will be chucking out a lot more heat than at idle so you should turn all the fans (including CPU) up.

For that setup I would recommend at least 2 intake fans and an exhaust (better to have more air going in than out; positive air pressure helps reduce dust build-up)

Ideally you should have an unobstructed airflow path through the computer to carry heat away from every component, but you should be thinking about CPU GPU RAM and mobo all before the HDD (hard drives are less temperature-sensitive than densely packed chips)
