I don't think it's irrelevant. When I purcahse from an online vendor I am more interested in the
vedors reputation than the product that I can get alomost anywhere. I have complete trust in Newegg
and also complete trust that there reviews are not made up, doctored or censored. IMO you are
seeing these comments because customers "really" are extremely satisfied with Newegg customer service.

The high level of customer service from Newegg is a rare commodity these day. I know I have
been very impressed with them and I have purchased a dozen or so items from them in the last year.

As an example, I purchased a LCD TV from them last January and two days after I purchased it
they had had a special on it with free shipping. I called them to ask if I could get the
free shipping and they didn't hesitate to give it to me. In fact, they were so pleasnt bout it,
it seemed to me almost as if they were waiting for me to call and couldn't wait to give me the free shipping.
I know it sounds a bit rediculous, but my experiences with Newegg really have been extremely positive.

On another purchase I made, I purchased two items, a camera and memory for the camera. The camera had
free shipping but not the memory. Now clearly both could ship in one box if they shipped from the same location
I contacted them and they were happy to give me free shipping on both.

In all my expereinces, I have never had a rude rep. IMO Newegg truly understands customer service.

Lastly, I think their distribution channel is 2nd to none.

No, I'm not a Newegg employee nor do I pay one on TV

Cheers

Yeah but overall, the reviews are a good source of information. The only
potential issue is Newegg (or others) could use reviews as a way to push
certain products by posting good reviews only. I have not seen evidence of
that but things change at companies as managers change, etc.

I have never had any issues with Newegg over many years of dealing with
them. I have, however, seen the occaisional PO'd customer review. Not very
often, but a few. You can't please everyone I guess....:-). Newegg is right
up at the top as far as online electronics retailers IMO.

Last week I ordered 2 60mm fans from Newegg. I recieved them the
next day. Unfortunately, they had shipped me 2 80mm fans. A phone
call was immediatly answered by a very helpful lady that told me she
would cancel the charges for the fans and to just keep the 2 80mm
fans gratis.

That was nice but I told her that I really needed the 60mm fans and
was afraid that if I reordered the 60mm fans the same thing might
happen if it was a problem of the wrong fans being in the bin. She
called the floor and had it verified that they correct fans were in
the bin and gave me an apology for my inconvienience. Then went and
shipped me two new 60mm that afternoon to fill my previous order. I
got the fans the next day.

That's what I call excellent service and that's why Newegg is highly
thought of as place to do business.
